White Oak Elementary UIL 

UIL exists to complement the academic curriculum and is designed to motivate students as they acquire higher levels of knowledge, challenge students to confront issues of importance, and provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate mastery of specific skills. Students are challenged to think critically and creatively, exhibiting much more than knowledge and comprehension.

The events are

Art - 4th & 5th grades

Chess Puzzle - 2nd-5th grades

Creative Writing - 2nd grade

Dictionary Skills - 5th grade

Listening - 5th grade

Maps, Charts & Graphs - 5th grade

Music Memory - 2nd-5th grades

Number Sense - 4th & 5th grades

Oral Reading - 4th & 5th grades

Ready Writing - 3rd-5th grades

Social Studies - 5th grade

Spelling - 3rd-5th grades

Storytelling - 2nd & 3rd grades

Sign-ups are September 6th - 16th.

Practices begin the week of September 26th.

District competition in Sabine on December 8th.
